On 23-May Todd Lowell, a soldier in the 5th Special Forces Group lost his long battle with lung cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife Erin and precious daughter Sophia. Erin has been a member at CFC since shortly after Todd’s passing when her dear friend Sunny Alexander brought her to the garage on Quincy Lane in an attempt to help Erin cope with her grief.
The WOD for TODD is an opportunity for the CrossFit Clarksville community to show their appreciation for this great American, offer support for the family he leaves behind, and raise awareness for the leading cancer killer in America, lung cancer.
Todd spent 20+ years in the Army, many with the 5th SFG, and he never smoked a day in his life. His diagnosis was a shock and his death was tragic. We realize that many of our members never knew Todd and many might not know Erin or Sophia, who are still valued CFC members. We also realize that chances are many of you have been effected by lung cancer in one way or another. Today we ask that you remember Todd as well as all those who have succumbed to the terrible disease that is Lung Cancer.
We love you Erin and Sophia! We will always be here for you!
