JOIN US AS WE WORK TO COMBAT LONELINESS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON at Grace Healthcare.
DECEMBER 18: 11AM & 6:30PM
DECEMBER 19: 11AM
This holiday season we want take an opportunity to give back to some that need it most. So often when people age it becomes difficult for their loved ones to provide the constant care they need, and they end up having to place them in a nursing home. Unfortunately, even though this is sometimes the best thing to do for their loved one’s well being, it removes them from the comfort that they have known their whole lives. In a home they may spend their days sitting in the hallways watching people come in and out of the building hoping for some sort of genuine human contact. The nursing staff does the best that they can to spend time with the residents during the day, but the responsibility to focus on medical care for each resident sometimes leaves them little time to fulfill the resident’s need for basic human contact and interaction. This one on one interaction makes them feel valued and loved when they need it most.
In an attempt to lessen some of the loneliness felt by our local elderly population, join your CFC Family members and do exactly that for the residents at Grace Healthcare. There will be activities provided on each day that you can assist with while visiting with the residents this holiday season. Grab a handful of your friends and make the trip! You won’t regret it! KIDS WELCOME!
I know that many of us are transplants here in Tennessee and know what it is like to not have family near when you need it most. So this year please, let’s be thankful for what we have and take some time out of our busy schedule to spread some joy to the resident’s at Grace Healthcare of Clarksville.
***MILITARY FOLKS – the residents are reported to LOVE having military visitors in uniform. Please consider wearing your uniform when you visit!
